Systems Analyst II, CAPS

Position Overview

The Systems Analyst II acts as the liaison between the business and technology delivery teams, interfacing directly with users, process owners and business customers across Redbox. The System Analyst II will gather customer requirements, analyze data, identify process gaps, and generate detailed functional and technical requirements for new initiatives/products, enhancements of existing systems, and provide ongoing application support within the Corporate Application Platform Services group in Corporate IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements using appropriate tools which could include interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis

  • Interpret and elicit detailed business requirements into documentation used by technology team to build and manage solutions. Work with development & other technology teams to refine documentation as needed and provide documentation representing the final solution

  • Lead planning, prioritization and other meetings with technology and business teams

  • Provide ongoing customer support with a high level of customer service

  • Create documentation, communications and training for users on a variety of internal applications

  • Manage the intake process for break/fix and enhancement work for existing solutions

  • Define documents and performs necessary tests to ensure product performance, availability and reliability

  • Serve as a resource during any phase of the solution development life cycle, as example plan and implement test cycles

  • May lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with focus in business administration, computer science, engineering or related field preferred

  • 5-8 years supporting small/medium systems analysis projects in a technology organization

  • Experience supporting enterprise corporate applications and tools preferred

  • Familiarity with project management and Agile development methodologies preferred

  • Demonstrated success implementing enterprise or cross-group processes and governance

  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, & Word

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure project task accuracy and drive resolution of issues and constraints

  • Strong meeting facilitation skills

  • Understand the core concepts of a scrum master; certification preferred

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage intake through to delivery/resolution process used by various teams

  • Technical aptitude for learning, evangelizing and using applications/solutions

  • Ability to analyze issues objectively and develop effective solutions

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and others in person and electronically.
