Marketing Project Manager

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Customer Experience & Ecommerce, the primary role of the Marketing Project Manager is to own both internal & external client relationships and projects, from inception through delivery, on behalf of Marketing. Projects include but are not limited to implementation of Personalization into Marketing Channels, creation of a Personalized Storefront Promotional Tool, and integration of New Email & Mobile Features, etc. This is not a technical nor a creative role, but one requiring marketing experience, preferably digital, across all channels. The ability to work cross-functionally within the process and speak the language of digital marketing from a business standpoint is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management of both marketing campaigns and projects - managing multiple complex and time-sensitive programs with strong discipline and organization, understanding excellent creative output

  • Manage relationships with 3rd party marketing partners & internal product managers

  • Lead the implementation process of personalized content across storefronts

  • Manage the web & app merchandising capability updates from inception to delivery

  • Partner cross functionally to facilitate the implementation of a Personalized Storefront Promotional Tool

  • Facilitate regular status meetings to effectively communicate expectations, goals, scope, budget, resources, and timeline, and general status with team members, stakeholders, and sponsors

  • Support the Director in assessing and reviewing project risks and issues, and providing solutions where applicable

  • Partner with Analytics/Finance teams to determine economic benefit and use to influence change across different levels in the organization

  • Prepare necessary presentation materials to communicate business mission, strategy and deliverables to leadership

  • Generate postmortem findings and apply them to continuous marketing improvement processes

Education & Experience

  • 3+ Years of Marketing or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Suite Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)

  • Analytical and structured problem solving abilities

  • Solid business acumen and excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is collaborative, creative and, at times, unpredictable

  • Ability to produce high-quality work, influence using data, meet tight deadlines, and manage project expectations

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks under pressure

  • Demonstrated judgment in making trade-offs and finding simple solutions to complex problems

  • Strong attention to detail; exceptional organizational skills

  • Ecommerce, Retail and/or Entertainment experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and others in person and electronically.
