Merchandising Associate, Physical

Position Overview

The Merchandising Associate provides support and coordination for the Merchandise team for all marketing channels and platforms. Manages the overall coordination of campaigns and analysis. This very critical support role oversees monthly merchandising plans, creative briefs, and channel submission to implementation and fosters relationships with cross-functional teams and peers to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Planning & Execution of Campaigns

  • Conduct monthly planning of business as usual awareness campaigns

  • Generate monthly creative project briefs, proofs, approvals and channel submissions

  • Studio coordination for special assets (e.g. gifs, previews, etc.)

  • Image retrieval from Hive and/or Studio BtoB sites

  • Coordination/communication with Merchandising Operations team

Implementation of Title Merchandising

  • Management of planning and execution of reels in Content Recommendation Engine

  • Plan, build and execute Landing Page collections

  • Maintain trailer exposure across channels and platforms

Manage Lightbox Planograms

  • Title recommendations and alignment with Purchasing team

  • Retrieval of high-resolution imagery from Studio BtoB sites for printing

  • Studio special requests for larger high-res art for 6/12 Packs

  • Genre/Rating/SD/BD designations for box art

  • Proofs/approvals and coordination with Creative and Print Production teams

  • Produce/Issue reoccurring Plan-O-Grams to the Field team


  • Share insights from our Recommendations Engine

  • Share performance metrics from Omniture Workspace Reports

Cross Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all things related to movie titles and Studio marketing requirements

  • Coordinate efforts with On Demand, Games, Creative, Channel Marketing, CRM, Loyalty and Brand

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated skills in merchandising, buying, marketing, or project management

  • Experience in Omniture, Google Analytics and Teams is a plus

  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively across functions within complex organization

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Skilled at coordinating across the organization to align actions in support planning and executions

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with Studios and internal Redbox team members

  • Ability to effectively assimilate and utilize information from multiple sources

  • Passionate about movies and the entertainment industry

  • Exceptional project management and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
