Financial Analyst OR Sr Financial Analyst- Games & Content Analytics, Redbox

Position Overview_________________________

The FP&A team is a highly collaborative and fast-paced work environment, and is central to all financial planning and analytics for the Redbox business. This position primarily focuses on supporting the Games business and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with high-level leadership on content acquisition, inventory lifecycle management, revenue growth opportunities and margin improvement. This position is highly analytical and offers the opportunity to dive into small details but also helps oversee the larger strategic picture to grow the business and see the results of your analyses/actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and purchasing process using analytics to help support decisions, monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual planning

  • Develop deep knowledge of key metrics and models, cross functional collaboration with content, marketing, and finance teams to help drive real time business decisions

  • Understand margin impact of content purchases and provide analytical support to the Games and FP&A teams to understand impact of purchases and performance of past purchases

  • Support reporting needs for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports including PowerPoint presentation materials for Sr. Leadership

  • Recommend, develop, and enhance current modeling, forecasting, and reporting methods to drive informed business decision

  • Ability to write SQL to pull data from cloud-based data warehousing tools to generate and communicate business insights

  • Support Ad hoc games and supplemental movies analysis as needed

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1+ years of directly applicable experience in a financial or analytical role

  • Experience using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with writing analytical SQL queries or demonstrated ability to understand and learn new business data and reporting systems quickly and efficiently

  • Experience synthesizing large datasets, such as transactional data, customer data or other operational datasets for actionable business insights

  • General finance knowledge

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills, including examples of problem-solving, performing detailed analysis, and developing and communicating recommendations

  • Strong work ethic and results orientation required for fast paced, customer-focused environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the business, including analysts, department heads, and the leadership team

  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision

  • Intellectual curiosity and innate passion for games and movies a plus

  • Ability to manage demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources or information
