Redbox HR Generalist in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
We are seeking a HR Generalist who will partner with the HR team to perform HR generalist duties and provide support to Compensation and Recruiting in service to the Redbox corporate departments. This role executes on HR-related needs such as employee relations, performance management, job description development, communications between management/employees and the HR leadership team as well as other areas.
Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner
Provide key functional support with regard to job openings and job description development in partnership with Compensation and hiring managers to launch jobs with recruitment
Maintain and support employee recognition programs
Collaborate with other areas of HR on the implementation and rollout of plans, programs and policies
Cross-collaborate with other departments to foster and maintain programs that support a strong safety culture with field employees
Develop and present trainings to client groups as needed
Resolve employee issues relating to HR policies, practices, benefits, and compensation
Complete other projects as assigned by the HRBP leadership, or as needs are recognized
Education & Experience
AA degree in human resource management or a related field; or equivalent education, training and experience
2+ years of experience in a human resource generalist role, including experience in employee relations
Previous experience and demonstrated capability using HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking Systems
Previous experience with high-volume, dispersed, multi-state, remote workforce preferred
Previous experience in leave of absence administration supporting non-exempt/hourly employees preferred
Basic knowledge and understanding of immigration processes and procedures preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of employment law, both state and federal (including but not limited to FMLA, ADAAA, EEO, FLSA)
Demonstrated sound judgment, ability to apply depth of knowledge and experience in solving complex challenges/making recommendations where no precedent may exist
Professional and approachable at all levels
Self-motivated & results oriented
Strong communication skills (written/verbal/presentation)
Ability to assess and anticipate the HR needs of employees
Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel on an ongoing basis
Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
