Director, Content Partnerships - On Demand

Position Overview

The Director of Content Partnerships leads the On Demand content strategy and function for Redbox. This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with major studios and content providers, for all digital movie content. Provides industry expertise and trends, and partners closely with the leadership team in creation and execution of the Redbox business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads content partnerships and acquisition strategy for the Redbox On Demand business

  • Creates and maintains strong relationships with studios, networks and other content providers

  • Responsible for studio negotiations and deal execution

  • Partners with Redbox On Demand GM and Chief Strategy Business Development Officer as a key member of leadership team

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

  • 8+ years of directly relevant work experience, ideally including leadership roles with studios, digital retailers or other content distributors

  • Experience working in or with companies utilizing a combination of digital business models including EST, VOD, AVOD and SVOD lines of business

  • Experience developing and/or analyzing complex financial and business models within the digital entertainment industry

  • Experience in creating and aligning others to a common vision

  • Prior digital studio, and/or consulting experience from a big brand preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence content and licensing agreements

  • Must have experience in effectively building and maintaining strategic partnerships at the management level

  • Deep knowledge of the OTT video market and ecosystem, key players and opportunities for growth. Strong critical thinking and analytic skills as well as the ability to see the big picture

  • Existing relationships in the digital entertainment industry high regarded

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively represent Redbox externally

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative, managing multiple projects, and working under tight timeframes

  • Ability to cultivate strong internal relationships and work cross-functionally

  • Collaboration skills to partner and work well with others

  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and business partners

  • Ability to effectively assimilate and utilize information from multiple sources

  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively across functions within a complex organization

  • Love of movies and knowledge of film and television is a plus
